MONROVIA – In an effort to ease the burden of long queues during the registration process, the state-run University of Liberia (UL) has launched a digital admission platform for incoming students through the Offices of Enrollment Services, the Registration and Enhancement Committee, Information, Communication and Technology (ICT), and the Vice President for Academic Affairs.

The platform was launched on Thursday, April 20, 2023, at the Fendall campus of the UL outside Monrovia by the President of the UL, Rev. Dr. Julius Sarwolo Nelson, to allow incoming students to complete the admission process online without the need to stand in long queues.

According to Dr. Nelson, the initiative will enable new students who successfully passed the 2022 first and second entrance exams to begin their admission process online.

“Our Office of Enrollment Services, the Registration and Enhancement Committee, Information, the Office of Communication and Technology, and the Vice President for Academic Affairs, who supervised this exercise, will work with us to get the job done,” said Dr. Nelson.

“The young men and women who were successful in the UL 2022 first and second entrance exams can now begin the process of admission to the University of Liberia,” he added.

Dr. Nelson indicated that the process will make it easier for new students to enroll in UL as the school continues to digitize its operations.

“On behalf of the University of Liberia, administrative and faculty staff, and students, I am delighted to launch the online admission process of the University of Liberia today, April 20, 2023,” Dr. Nelson said amid excitement.
